Romantic Semi-Naked Chocolate Cake with Roses by Alyssa’s Kitchen

Charming and romantic, this 8-inch chocolate cake from Alyssa’s Kitchen was crafted with layers of rich, moist chocolate and finished in a rustic semi-naked buttercream style. The simple, textured finish allowed the decorative details to take centre stage, showcasing the cake’s natural beauty.

The top was adorned with a lush arrangement of faux pink roses, creating a vibrant and eye-catching floral display. A golden Mr & Mrs topper added the perfect finishing touch, bringing elegance and sparkle to the design.

Created for Lynda & Stewart’s wedding at the beautiful Robertson Hotel, this cake reflected both rustic charm and romantic flair. Its simplicity in structure combined with bold, graceful flowers made it a true statement piece for their special day.

ABOUT ALYSSA’S KITCHEN

After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!

I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
