Crafted with warmth, meaning, and a touch of whimsy, this two-tier wedding cake was created to celebrate a love story that began with a simple Tinder match and grew into something truly beautiful.
Featuring a 10-inch carrot cake and an 8-inch orange & poppyseed cake, both dairy-free and finished in silky Nuttelex buttercream, the design embraced a soft semi-naked style—perfect for showcasing the cake’s natural texture. Fresh seasonal blooms in soft peach, cream, and rich burgundy added depth and romance to the overall look.
The couple’s playful bubble-head topper was added later at the venue, bringing a fun, personal touch that made the cake unmistakably theirs.
Celebrated at the charming Montrose House, this cake balanced flavour, sentiment, and artistry—reflecting Alyssa’s Kitchen’s passion for creating meaningful, heartfelt centrepieces for unforgettable moments.
After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!
I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
