A vibrant and flavour-rich choice, this 8-inch Persian Love cake was crafted in a tall 1½-height design, layered generously with pale pink buttercream and delicately accented with pistachios and meringue throughout. Each tier was piped with small buttercream stars, creating a beautiful contrast against the warm, aromatic cake.

The top was finished with a joyful burst of colour—edible flowers, crisp meringue kisses, and crushed pistachios—capturing the romantic, whimsical essence of a Persian Love cake. Sean and Sancha knew exactly what they wanted after tasting this style of cake at a previous wedding, and it was such a pleasure to recreate it for their own celebration.

Held at the gorgeous Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat, this cake was as fragrant and delicious as it was eye-catching. If I’m honest, I hadn’t made one in a while and forgot just how good it is—though sadly the bride and groom didn’t get a slice!
