A celebration of flavour and meaning, this two-tier wedding cake was crafted especially for a couple whose absolute favourite is carrot cake. Featuring 6-inch and 8-inch tiers at 1½ height, each layer was baked gluten-free while still honouring tradition—because carrot cake simply must include walnuts.
Filled and finished with smooth natural buttercream in full coverage, the design was kept soft and timeless. Delicate pressed flowers were carefully applied around the tiers, creating a romantic, garden-inspired finish that felt both refined and organic.
Held at the beautiful Mali Brae Farm, this cake reflected the couple’s love of classic flavours with an artistic twist—proving that gluten-free can still be rich, textured, and completely indulgent.
At Alyssa’s Kitchen, every cake is thoughtfully created to reflect what couples truly love most, blending heartfelt flavour with elegant design.
After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!
I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
