Vanilla & Orange Poppyseed with 3 Roses Cake by Alyssa’s Kitchen

Elegant simplicity defined this two-tier design created for Angie & Craig’s wedding at the Book Barn, Bendooley Estate. The cake featured a 6-inch vanilla and an 8-inch orange & poppyseed, each crafted at one-and-a-half height to bring balance and proportion.

Covered in smooth white buttercream with a flawless finish, the design allowed the decoration to shine: three perfectly placed blush-pink roses. Their soft petals with hints of green at the edges added a romantic touch that was understated yet undeniably beautiful.

Angie loved the refined elegance of this cake, where every detail was considered to highlight the charm of minimal design. A timeless reflection of both flavour and style, it stood gracefully as part of their celebration.

At Alyssa’s Kitchen, even the simplest cakes are crafted with care and intention—proving that elegance often lies in restraint.

ABOUT ALYSSA’S KITCHEN

After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!

I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
