Delicate yet full of character, this two-tier creation by Alyssa’s Kitchen was crafted to celebrate Sophie & Bean’s wedding at the stunning Mali Brae Farm in Fitzroy Falls. Featuring 6-inch and 8-inch layers of decadent dark horse vanilla, each tier was filled with a luscious raspberry buttercream, balancing sweet richness with a burst of berry brightness.
The exterior showcased a refined palette-knife effect in buttercream, giving the cake a textured elegance that felt both modern and timeless. Cascading down the tiers, a striking arrangement of blooms from Wendy at Blush and Blooms Floral Studio brought the design to life. Vivid tones of fuchsia, orange, lilac, and blush created a vibrant contrast against the soft ivory base, ensuring the cake stood out as a show-stopping centrepiece.
Sophie & Bean’s cake was the perfect marriage of flavour and artistry—delicious layers wrapped in a design that reflected both the joy of the day and the beauty of its setting. With its elegant finish and stunning floral accents, this cake was a true reflection of Alyssa’s Kitchen’s style: thoughtful, beautiful, and made to be remembered.
After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!
I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
