Vintage Heart Caramel Mud Cake by Alyssa’s Kitchen

Romantic and distinctive, this heart-shaped cake from Alyssa’s Kitchen was created to celebrate Caitlin & Whalan’s wedding. Crafted as an 8-inch double-height caramel mud cake, it combined rich, indulgent flavour with a charming vintage-inspired design.

The smooth buttercream finish was adorned with ornate vintage piping, giving the cake a timeless and decorative touch. At the centre, the inscription Just Married was delicately written in white chocolate, tying in beautifully with the soft elegance of the overall look.

The heart-shaped silhouette itself symbolised love and commitment, while the detailed piping added depth and texture, making the cake both striking and memorable. Thoughtfully designed and baked with care, it stood out as a sweet centrepiece for the couple’s celebration.

This creation reflects Alyssa’s Kitchen’s signature style — cakes that not only taste divine but also carry personal meaning and artistry, ensuring every couple’s story is captured in cake form.

ABOUT ALYSSA’S KITCHEN

After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!

I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.
