Whimsical Unicorn & Ice Skating Wedding Cake by Alyssa’s Kitchen

When Blaise first rang to discuss her wedding cake, I couldn’t resist saying, “Ooooo, please let me make this one!” And what a joy it was to bring such a playful and personal vision to life for Blaise & Peter’s celebration at Mali Brae Farm.

This two-tier creation combined fantasy and fun in the most delightful way. The top tier featured a golden unicorn horn, delicate ears, and lashes, with three different styles of buttercream flowers in shades of pink cascading around. The bottom tier was finished in icy blue and white tones, complete with a white chocolate drip, fondant snowflakes, and printed fondant ice skates—tying in perfectly with Blaise’s love for skating.

So much fun to design and create, this cake was not only delicious but also a true reflection of the couple’s personalities.

At Alyssa’s Kitchen, every cake is designed to balance flavour and artistry, ensuring each couple’s story is beautifully reflected in their centrepiece.

ABOUT ALYSSA’S KITCHEN

After 25 years in corporate and a significant life experience, I decided I’d follow my passion – making beautiful cakes and desserts and I'm loving it!

I’ve always loved entertaining and making things that not only taste delicious but also look beautiful. Being always the one asked to ‘bring dessert’ – I started experimenting and developed a passion for baking. I delight in seeing and hearing people are happy, enjoying eating all the things I created. The best compliment is being referred to as a ‘cake magician’! Whilst I had been cooking for many years inspired by my grandmother, I developed my Patisserie skills further by completing a certification with Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School, so I could deliver the best for my customers.

I look forward to baking up a storm and work my cake magic for you!
